Funky, stinky, dingy, repelling diapers that are in need of being "stripped"?

RLR is an economical and very effective solution for removing odours, urine/soil deposits, mineral deposits from hard water, and detergent/bum cream/oil residues from diaper fabrics. RLR is safe for both top-loading and high-efficiency/front-loading washing machines. It is phosphate-free, free of fragrance, non-polluting and biodegradable. Not a bleach, bluing, or detergent, RLR brightens and refreshes, transforming dingy, stinky, repelling diapers into whiter, brighter diapers that absorb quickly and don't stink! A favorite of cloth diapering families, RLR can be used on just about any landry- you would be surprised how much detergent residue and mineral buildup are in your towels, bedding, clothing, and more!

RLR is safe to use with most cloth diaper brands as an occasional treatment. It is very important that you check with the manufacturer of your diapers before use to ensure using this prodct does not void any warrany. Please note that some of the less expensive imported diaper brands do not allow soaking or washing in hot water.

To strip cloth diapers in a top-loading washing machine:

  1. Add one package of RLR to the washing machine along with 15-30 CLEAN diapers.
  2. Start a wash cycle with hot water- allow the load to agitate for several minutes, then soak for at least 30 minutes before allowing the cycle to complete. Do not add detergent or other additives, just the diapers and RLR. You may choose to soak diapers for several hours or overnight, keeping in mind that soaking is hard on elastics.
  3. Run a hot wash cycle with no detergent.
  4. You may need to run another hot wash cycle (again, no detergent) or several additional rinse cycles- the goal is clear rinse water, no suds or film.

To strip diapers in a bathtub/laundry sink (if you are not able to do the soak in a front-loading machine):

  1. Fill laundry sink/tub with hot water and one package of RLR, stir to dissolve. Add 15-30 CLEAN diapers.
  2. Agitate/stir diapers for several minutes (use your hands, a toilet plunger, etc). Soak diapers for at least 30 minutes. You may choose to soak diapers for several hours or overnight first, keeping in mind that soaking is hard on elastics.
  3. Transfer diapers to washing machine. Run a hot wash cycle with no detergent.
  4. You may need to run another hot wash cycle (again, no detergent) or several additional rinse cycles- the goal is clear rinse water, no suds or film.

To treat clothing, bedding, and other household laundry, use according to package instructions.

RLR is very good for ammonia stinkies

I used this to soak my diapers and inserts. I have a front loader washer with no soak option so I used my sink and left them to soak overnight. Overall it did a very good job of cleaning them and removing the nasty smell. It removed all poop stains. Only one or two microfibre inserts retained the smell but I am confident another treatment with RLR will take care of it. It has been the best treatment I have tried so far.

Great Idea!

I will be sending this with my daughter when she goes overseas.

I came to the store hoping to get Rockin Green detergent, thinking that would solve my diaper stinkies. After talking with Andrea, she suggested RLR would probably be the best product to try. Good advice! I soaked our inserts overnight in the bathtub then did two extra long, deep clean washes in the morning. No more poo-smelling "clean" diapers! Our oldest inserts are 3 1/2 years old so it didn't turn them bright white (like the package says), but they're well used and I really didn't care about that anyway. I'm going to try it on my dishcloths next to hopefully get rid of their funky smell.

Love this stuff!
Works on dishcloths too! I wish I had found this product sooner. Will be recommending it to everyone.

Great product!

I used this on some cloth diapers which I bought used and wanted to strip them It worked great. I have an HE front load washer and only used half the package and it still worked great. It took probably 8 rinses to get all the bubbles out completely but it was worth it.

Works great on towels!

My towels were starting to stink so as suggested I tried RLR on them and they came out so clean. They came out brighter (they're white) and fluffier with no stink. Will definitely be buying more.
